Our mosquito problem started when my family moved out of our city apartment to a house the suburbs. The house was great, but the mosquitoes were so bad we were trapped inside all summer.
After a couple years of suffering and money wasted on chemical sprays for the yard, I was losing my mind. So I spent an entire summer buying and testing every treatment solution I could find.
In the end, I developed a system that completely eliminated the mosquitoes from my property in just two weeks. I call it The Mosquito Method. This website is my way of putting it all down on “paper” and sharing it with anyone who needs help.

What are the first steps?

What time of year should I start?
Ideally, you want to start the process in late spring, just before you would expect to start seeing mosquitoes. Every female mosquito you kill can prevent hundreds over the course of the summer.
How far can mosquitoes fly?
Most “backyard” mosquitoes only travel a couple hundred feet. That’s why eliminating standing water on your property is such a big deal. But if you live near other people like I do, you’ll want to get your neighbors in on the action.
How long will it take to work?
You’ll start seeing results within 3 days. One week in, the difference will be noticeable. In my experience, mosquitoes should be basically cleared from your property in 2-3 weeks.
Will it work if I already have a major problem?
Absolutely. It’s best to start in the spring and keep mosquitoes from becoming a big issue. But this method will work whenever you decide to begin. I started in mid-August and cleared my property before Labor Day.
Why are you doing this?
I hate mosquitoes. They are the worst. I spent so much time and effort trying to solve this problem and I don’t want it to got to waste. So I hope this resource helps other people with the same issue.
